A seasonal relationship between land surface temperature and normalized difference bareness index

The present study analyzes the seasonal variability of relationship between land surface temperature (LST) and normalized difference bareness index (NDBaI) on different use/land cover (LULC) in Raipur City, India by using sixty-five Landsat images four seasons (pre-monsoon, monsoon, post-monsoon, winter) 1991-1992, 1995-1996, 1999-2000, 2004-2005, 2009-2010, 2014-2015, 2018-2019. results show that post-monsoon season indicates best correlation (0.59), followed monsoon (0.56), pre-monsoon (0.47), winter (0.44) season. water bodies reflect a strongly positive all (0.65 pre-monsoon, 0.51 0.53 0.62 winter). On green vegetation, this is also (0.57), (0.62), (0.55), whereas it moderate (0.37) built-up area bare build (0.35 0.43 0.48 0.39 Among seasons, builds for LULC types, has least correlation. This research work beneficial use environmental planning any city under similar climatic conditions.
